I'm soon making some HV poly rolled capacitors but still debating on the terminations, most use wire but is difficult to roll the cap and not have a leak. My thought was to use aluminum strips 3/4" wide 10" long and 0.00425" thick. Now the final output on the device should be 600 Kv @ 20 ma, so will my alum strip go poof or not. It will actually be 2" into the cap plate and 3/4" on the connector at the other end so only 7&1/4" of transmission line. Any feed back will be appreciated.
