Seems I'm a bit late to the party but here go's ,I was wondering if you finished the high voltage analog meter and if there were any issues with the double pole switch ?

I haven't progressed any further 1. the HV resistors i originally found on Amazon went out of stock 2. a friend eventually gave me a 40KV probe 3. the meter i was going to use has been used for the control console.
I haven't totally forgotten about it though, but of course i need another meter.

I have the same trouble with finding HV resistors. I did manage to string some together to make a 1000:1 divider probe that is read by a multi meter with 10m input impedance, but is no good with AC, needs more work. It' 207.87m ohm with 208.0783k ohm , good to 25,000 volts or so.

Wondering if you got the email I sent about the free resistors?

Wondering if you got the email I sent about the free resistors? I did, unfortunately i don't think they will be suitable, remember we are dealing with a lot of voltage, it is far better to use multiple resistors in series For instance if i wanted 1000 volts using standard resistors (about 250v), then i would use at least 4 in series.

First...I'm not sure why there would be a disconnect switch for a dishwasher? Second....a double pole switch would be used on a 240V circuit...not 120. You don't switch the neutral...and I think it's against code.
The only thing that makes sense with your issue (other than the above) is that the wiring is wrong. You are connecting the hot and neutral at the switch or something is shorted in the DW wiring.
